CEMVO Scotland’s Financial Capability Project will be delivering workshops on various financial topics throughout this year. The aim is to improve the financial wellbeing for ethnic minority families and communities within Scotland
This free workshop will be 1hr and 30mins session online on Zoom links will be sent out a day before the event.
These interactive workshops are for all ethnic minorities across Scotland who would like to improve their finances and resilience for the future. All our workshops are 100% impartial we will not be promoting any financial products or services.
If you open a bill or bank statement and you see language like ( APR, AER or VAT ) and it seems really confusing and you don’t know what they mean? Then this is the right workshop for you!
In this interactive workshop we will break down this terminology and explain what these are and help you get a better understanding how to :
- Understand financial terminology used in your every day financial lives
- Understand abbreviations and what they mean to you
- Read your payslips, bank statements and utility bills and remove the confusion behind financial terminology and language.
All the workshops are designed to be fun, engaging and interactive to help you get the most out of each session.
We also offer one to one sessions for anyone who would like individual support to help you get back on track with your finances. This is free, confidential and impartial support and guidance.
